Educational Resources

  • I scripted this video series while at the U.S. Center for SafeSport. The animations break down a complex youth protection policy into easy to understand segments for coaches, administrators, and parents. Watch the six video series on YouTube.

  • I wrote the content for this resource while at the U.S. Center for SafeSport during the fall of 2020. The goal was to help parents, athletes, and coaches navigate returning to sport during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • I researched and wrote this guide for the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance. It is a trauma-informed and social justice oriented collection of best practices and resources to help campus leaders respond to and prevent gender-based violence on campus.

Courses & Trainings

  • I created this course to help increase inclusion of LGBTQ+ youth in sports. The web-based course was created using Rise 360 and meets accessibility standards.

  • I developed this training curriculum for the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance to increase advocate understanding of technology and domestic violence. Deliverables included background, needs assessment, goals and outcomes, instructional design plan, facilitator’s guide, handouts, PowerPoint slides, and evaluation plan.

  • I developed the content for this online course while I was at the U.S. Center for SafeSport. The course’s goal is to help people who work with athletes with disabilities increase inclusion and recognize abuse. Deliverables included learning objectives, course content, handouts, and assessment.

Academic Writing

  • I collected and analyzed survey data to write my quantitative Ph.D. dissertation exploring the connections between adverse childhood experiences, adult gender-based violence and harassment, mental health, and academic functioning.

  • I co-authored this research article exploring the link between complex trauma and women’s intimate partner violence.
